During a press conference in Lakhisarai, Lalan Singh firmly rejected rumors concerning the potential return of former Union Minister RCP Singh to the JD-U.

He emphasized that individuals who undermine the party have no room within its ranks.

"The backbone of the JD-U is its dedicated party members. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the party has consistently grown in strength," he stated.

In relation to governmental initiatives, Lalan Singh revealed that a high-level roundtable conference is scheduled for January 21, 2026, featuring Ambassadors and High Commissioners from over 80 nations.

This conference will be presided over by Lalan Singh himself.

"The aim is to broaden India's seafood export market and forge new international trading connections," he remarked, highlighting that India ranks as the second-largest aquaculture producer globally.

Following a meeting with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Lalan Singh noted, "We spent three days in the region.
