Bhubaneswar, Oct 20 (NationPress) The Governor of Odisha, Hari Babu Kambhampati, along with Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Leader of Opposition (LoP) Naveen Patnaik, extended their warm wishes to the citizens on the joyous occasion of the Diwali festival.
On his X account, Governor Kambhampati expressed on Monday, "Heartfelt greetings and congratulations to everyone on the sacred occasion of #Deepavali. This festival represents the triumph of light over darkness and righteousness over evil. On this auspicious day, I pray for your happiness, peace, and prosperity. Happy Deepavali!"
Chief Minister Majhi similarly conveyed his best wishes, urging residents to celebrate a pollution-free and green Deepavali this year.
In a heartfelt video message, Majhi stated, "I offer my warm wishes and greetings to the people of Odisha as we celebrate the festival of light and joy. The illumination of knowledge guides humanity away from the shadows of ignorance. Deepavali encourages us to embrace a beautiful and progressive future filled with new aspirations and dreams."
Majhi further noted that the light of truth and justice dispels untruth and injustice through this holy festival.
Promoting a green Deepavali, the Chief Minister urged, "This festival symbolizes the collective experience of hope, faith, and strong commitment. Let's celebrate a pollution-free, green Deepavali this year by respecting nature. In addition, former Chief Minister and LoP Patnaik also shared his wishes with the public for the Deepavali festivities.
"I extend my greetings on this festive occasion of lights, Deepavali. May this time of joy and celebration fill everyone's life with happiness and prosperity," Patnaik wrote on his X account.
In a video message, Patnaik also conveyed his best wishes to the residents of Nuapada, where bypolls are set for November 11, and mentioned his plans to visit the constituency soon to campaign for BJD candidate Snehangini Chhuria.
