In her message, the President stated: "I encourage everyone to celebrate Diwali safely, responsibly, and in an eco-friendly way. May this Diwali bring joy, peace, and prosperity to all."
“On this auspicious occasion of Diwali, I send my heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all Indians, both in India and around the globe,” she expressed.
Diwali, one of India’s most cherished festivals, is celebrated with tremendous enthusiasm. The festival signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and good over evil.
Observed across the nation with great fervour, the occasion of Diwali promotes the message of mutual love and brotherhood. On this day, devotees pay homage to Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity.
This festival of lights also serves as a moment for self-reflection and improvement. It is an opportunity to assist those in need and spread happiness in their lives, as she mentioned.
Vice President Radhakrishnan, in his message, remarked: "Deepawali is a period when the values of generosity, charity, and inclusivity—deeply rooted in our cultural heritage—shine as we share and extend our support to the underprivileged sections of society."
As we celebrate Deepawali, we must reject negativity and Adharma and embrace positivity and Dharma—not only for personal benefit but for the overall advancement of the nation, he added.
Radhakrishnan further stated that, just like the diyas lit in every home illuminating the night sky during this festival, our dedication and commitment should jointly foster collective growth for the country.
He prayed to Goddess Lakshmi to bestow her blessings of peace, prosperity, and good health upon everyone while extending his warm wishes to all.
