Lucknow, Jan 22 (NationPress) Lieutenant General Navin Sachdeva, the Chief of Staff for the Indian Army's Central Command, made an official visit to the Remount Veterinary Corps Centre and College located in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. His purpose was to assess the various facilities available at the centre, as reported by a Defence Ministry official on Thursday.

The visit was aimed at evaluating the administrative framework and the extensive training ecosystem that forms the backbone of the Army's veterinary and animal management capabilities, the official noted on social media.

During the visit, Lieutenant General Sachdeva inspected critical training facilities, which included the Dog Training Faculty, Equitation and Animal Management Faculty, and the Training Regiment, the official added.

These detailed interactions shed light on the specialized training methodologies that ensure operational readiness and uphold high professional standards, according to the official.

Lieutenant General Navin Sachdeva expressed his admiration for the advanced training infrastructure and praised the highly motivated team of officers and personnel whose commitment continually enhances the Indian Army's veterinary support and animal management excellence, as stated in an official announcement.

Earlier, in celebration of the national commemoration marking 150 years of 'Vande Mataram', a special performance by the Army Band was held at Janeshwar Mishra Park in Lucknow. This event celebrated the enduring spirit of India's national song and its significant role in inspiring generations, as noted by an official from the Indian Army's Central Command.

The evening was filled with stirring performances from the Pipe Band of the Army Medical Corps Centre and College, the Military Band of the SIKH Light Infantry Regimental Centre, and the vibrant Jazz Band of the 1 ASSAM Regiment, captivating an audience of over 2,000 proud citizens of Lucknow.

The harmonious mix of martial melodies and patriotic enthusiasm turned the park into a vibrant tribute to India's unity, sacrifice, and enduring national spirit, reminding all that Vande Mataram continues to inspire hearts.

Additionally, the Shatrujeet Brigade organized a two-week structured military training camp for NCC Cadets, offering elite exposure alongside #PARABrigade, #IAF, and #AATS, as reported on social media.

This camp provided immersive hands-on experiences with new-generation weapons, BMP rides, horse riding, and rock climbing. Each activity was meticulously designed to test endurance, sharpen skills, and instill the discipline, resilience, and teamwork essential for nation-building, the official added.
