Colonel Sridhar Rajan, the Army Recruitment Officer (ARO) of Hamirpur, shared that the recruitment rally is scheduled from March 9 to 16, with the 17th designated as a reserve day. He further noted that nearly 4,000 candidates who qualified through the Common Entrance Exam were invited to this rally, with Tuesday marking the second day.
He explained that the process kicks off with a 1.6-kilometer run in the morning, followed by a physical examination, document verification, and interviews. Successful candidates will then undergo a medical evaluation, leading to further recruitment procedures.
There is evident enthusiasm among the youth for the physical efficiency test, with Colonel Rajan highlighting that Himachal Pradesh is renowned for its heroes, as many soldiers from the state have earned various gallantry awards.
“We encourage all candidates to arrive punctually at the recruitment venue with their original documents and adhere to the guidelines provided by the Army,” he stated.
Additional District Commissioner Abhishek Garg noted that the Agniveer recruitment is being managed by ARO Hamirpur and encompasses three districts: Una, Bilaspur, and Hamirpur. He has been actively monitoring the recruitment process.
The physical efficiency test, supervised by Army personnel, consists of a 1.6 km run, beam climbing, and additional physical assessments.
After the medical examination, candidates who successfully clear the ground tests will have their documents meticulously verified to ensure a completely transparent and fair recruitment process.
