Imphal, Sep 18 (NationPress) Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla on Wednesday urged everyone to adopt the ethos of “Nation First” and play their part in shaping a Manipur that exemplifies development, harmony, and progress.
During the launch of the “Nation First @75 Campaign”, under the Viksit Bharat, Viksit Manipur initiative in Imphal, he called on the people of Manipur, particularly the youth and women, to engage actively in these programs.
On this occasion, the Governor unveiled five significant initiatives and services, including the GovConnect Manipur Grievance Redressal Portal, efforts to bolster the Manipur Milk Union, Migration Support Centres in Delhi, Bangalore, and Hyderabad, a Residential Skill Development Program for Cabin Crew Placement, and four new digital services and portals from the Transport Department.
Concerning the Migration Support Centres, the Governor highlighted their crucial role in assisting the youth of Manipur in securing appropriate employment in major urban areas through collaborations with relevant stakeholders.
He elaborated on the Residential Skill Development Program, which aims to provide specialized training in partnership with top airlines, offering global career opportunities for the youth of Manipur.
Furthermore, he announced that the introduction of four new services and portals from the Transport Department will enhance the citizen experience and improve operational efficiency.
Discussing the transformative potential of these initiatives, he noted that GovConnect Manipur will operate as a comprehensive public grievance portal, improving the interaction between citizens and the government, thereby fostering transparency, accountability, and rapid resolutions.
Regarding the Manipur Milk Union, he stressed its vital role in enhancing rural livelihoods and ensuring nutritional security through improved milk procurement systems, farmer training, and innovative dairy products, while also acknowledging the pivotal contribution of women in this sector.
As part of the National Dairy Development Board initiative to enhance dairy production in Manipur, the Governor presented a cheque for Rs 5 crore to the Manipur Milk Union and inaugurated a 2 KL Bulk Milk Cooling Centre in Kakching.
He also awarded certificates to three selected cabin crew trainees. The Governor expressed that as India commemorates 75 years as a Republic, this program reflects the nation's steadfast commitment to prioritizing progress and citizen welfare in governance.
Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision, he remarked that the Manipur government is launching initiatives aligned with the Swasth Nari Sashakt Pariwar Abhiyan (SNSPA) Campaign, which was also introduced by the Prime Minister on Wednesday.
From September 17 to October 2, while the SNSPA Campaign will focus on women's health across over 350 public health facilities, the “Nation First @75 Campaign” will implement various activities related to rural development, environmental initiatives, skill development, fitness, entrepreneurship, Atmanirbhar Bharat, Fit India, PMJANMAN, aspirational districts, and promoting local products under Vocal for Local/Make in India. Special emphasis will be placed on women's empowerment, in accordance with the SNSPA campaign.
