G7 Agenda: Key Sessions Modi Will Attend

At the G7 Summit in Evian, Prime Minister Modi is set to engage with leaders of the G7 nations as well as representatives from invited partner countries and international organisations. The sessions on his agenda cover three broad themes: Forging New Partnerships and Rebuilding International Solidarity; Reviving Balanced, Shared and Sustainable Economic Growth for All; and Ensuring a Safe, Rapid and Efficient Rollout of AI.

Slovakia Visit: Historic Honours and Bilateral Outcomes

Modi arrived in Geneva after wrapping up a two-day State Visit to Slovakia. Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico personally saw him off at the hotel — a gesture Modi acknowledged publicly. In a post on X, Modi described the visit as 'historic and productive', adding: 'Stronger trade relations will greatly benefit our youth. Gratitude to the Slovakian government and people for the warmth. I am very grateful to Prime Minister Fico for coming to see me off.'

During the Slovakia leg, Modi met both Prime Minister Robert Fico and President Peter Pellegrini at the Presidential Palace in Bratislava. Talks covered manufacturing, transport, innovation, investment, energy, biofuels, digital technology, and people-to-people linkages, according to Modi's own account on X.

Slovakia also conferred its highest state honour — the Order of the White Double Cross (1st Class) — on Prime Minister Modi, making it the 33rd global honour bestowed upon him by a foreign country.
