New Delhi, March 6 (NationPress) Narendra Modi maintains a steady trajectory in his role as the nation’s Prime Minister, as highlighted by the significant backing from the populace, especially from the Northern and Western regions of the country, according to the Ipsos IndiaBus PM’s Approval Rating survey.

The survey indicates that PM Modi’s approval ratings for February 2025 are at 68 percent, with an impressive 86 percent of respondents from North India expressing their endorsement of his administration.

The Western zone has also shown strong confidence in the Modi government, with 74 percent of participants demonstrating steadfast support for its performance.

Residents of Tier 1 cities have granted PM Modi a high approval rating of 78 percent, likely attributed to notable infrastructural advancements and enhancements in quality of life.

The approval ratings in the North and South reveal a stark divergence.

In the Southern region, only 32 percent of respondents have indicated support for the Modi administration, suggesting a disconnect with the Centre and a stronger engagement with local and regional leadership.

In discussing the survey results, Parijat Chakraborty, group service line leader at Ipsos India, stated, “The PM has demonstrated stability in the economy, provided relief to the middle class in the budget with tax reductions that increase disposable income. Additionally, the recent repo rate cut of 25 basis points by the RBI aims to make borrowing more affordable. The extension of the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) for five years starting January 1, 2024, under Amrit Kaal, are measures benefiting the citizens.”

Citizens evaluated PM Modi's governance across various criteria, including education, sanitation, healthcare, corruption, and pollution.

The education sector under the Modi administration received the highest approval, with 65 percent of respondents expressing support.

Sanitation and hygiene were the second most praised areas, with 49 percent of respondents affirming their approval.

“The focus on education for the girl child, provision of free Mid-Day Meals in Aanganwadis, the introduction of new educational hubs, specialized courses in urban centers, and Skill India initiatives to prepare youth for employment have led to increased public support for Modi’s governance,” Chakraborty noted.
