Patna, Nov 14 (NationPress) As the vote counting process unfolds on Friday for the Bihar Assembly elections, an examination of the data indicates that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's campaign rallies have significantly influenced the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), allowing it to gain substantial ground in early trends.

The counting for postal ballots commenced at 8:00 a.m., followed by EVM votes at 8:30 a.m., all under stringent security measures.

Within 243 constituencies, robust multi-layered arrangements are in place, with the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) securing inner perimeters while the Bihar police manage outer security.

By approximately 9 a.m., the BJP, a crucial ally of the NDA, was leading in several significant constituencies, as per the early trends released by the Election Commission of India.

The trends suggested that the NDA was surpassing the halfway mark as the counting continued.

Political analysts and NDA strategists credit PM Modi's vigorous campaign efforts in Bihar.

Throughout the election, PM Modi conducted 14 rallies and a roadshow, rallying voters across essential districts. His frequent visits are believed to have invigorated the base and resulted in increased turnout in constituencies where he campaigned extensively.

The first phase of polling recorded a high voter turnout, indicating widespread engagement. The second phase saw even greater participation, with a provisional turnout of 67.14 percent, according to election officials.

PM Modi himself expressed optimism earlier, stating that the 'record turnout' reflects the public's desire to 'retain the NDA government.'

Constituencies where PM Modi campaigned experienced higher voter engagement compared to regions where he did not hold public meetings.

On October 24, prior to the official launch of the NDA's election campaign in Bihar, PM Modi paid homage to social leader and Bharat Ratna recipient 'Jan Nayak' Karpoori Thakur in his ancestral village in Samastipur and met with his family.

PM Modi also addressed an election rally in Samastipur, where 71.74 percent of voters participated during the first phase. On the same day, he held a rally in Begusarai, which saw a voter turnout of 69.87 percent.

On October 30, the Prime Minister addressed rallies in Muzaffarpur and Chhapra, where the first-phase voter turnout was 71.81 percent and 63.86 percent, respectively.
