Mysuru, Jan 28 (NationPress) A formal accusation has been submitted to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Karnataka Lokayukta against the former minister and JD-S MLA G.T. Deve Gowda on Tuesday, claiming that he unlawfully acquired 19 sites from the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA).

The complaint was initiated by social activist Snehamayi Krishna, who also serves as the petitioner in the ongoing MUDA case, which names Chief Minister Siddaramaiah as the primary accused.

Krishna contended that MLA Deve Gowda purchased land with survey number 81/2 located in Devanuru village under the name of his sister's son, Mahendra.

“It was misrepresented that compensation for this land was not disbursed by MUDA post-acquisition, enabling the illegal acquisition of 19 sites under the 50:50 ratio scheme,” stated Krishna.

He further mentioned that he had previously lodged a petition regarding the unlawful allocation of sites to MLA Deve Gowda.

In addition to this petition, along with a new complaint, he has now provided six photographs as evidence, which reportedly depict MLA Deve Gowda issuing cheques to the legitimate owner of the aforementioned land.

Krishna has urged that the individuals featured in the photographs be interrogated.

He also claimed that the tehsildar of Mysuru executed the sale deed in the name of Gowda’s sister’s son, and despite residential constructions on the land, it remains classified as agricultural land. According to his statements, this documentation facilitated the illegal allocation of 19 sites.

Furthermore, MUDA developed a layout on the land in question, yet the tehsildar and other officials categorized it as agricultural land to permit the site allocations to MLA Deve Gowda, he further alleged.

MLA G.T. Deve Gowda, who is closely linked to former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda, has been aligning himself with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah since the emergence of the MUDA scandal.

He has publicly commended Siddaramaiah, asserting that Siddaramaiah fosters the political advancement of his supporters, contrasting with his own prior experiences where he claims to have faced limited growth in his political journey.

Krishna alleges that approximately 4,000 to 5,000 sites have been illegally allocated to interested parties and supporters of Siddaramaiah by MUDA.
