Mumbai, May 9 (NationPress) The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), led by Ajit Pawar, on Friday called upon its cadre to actively promote national unity, particularly in border states such as Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Gujarat, amidst rising tensions between India and Pakistan.
In a heartfelt message, party national general secretary Brijmohan Shrivastav stated: "Let us rally behind our soldiers and foster hope, peace, and confidence among our fellow citizens, ensuring our role as political representatives remains impactful. Our national president Ajit Pawar and working president Praful Patel are monitoring all activities closely. In these times, it is essential that we stay engaged in our communities and connect with as many individuals as possible."
He emphasized: "During this critical juncture of conflict, our Indian Army is facing adversities with unwavering courage and resolve. It is our duty to work together, remain vigilant, and intensify our efforts in our respective regions.

Previously, party working president Praful Patel, who participated in the Central government's all-party meeting on Thursday, remarked: “The NCP, as part of the NDA coalition, fully backs the government's initiatives during this critical period. At the meeting, we expressed our unwavering support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and emphasized the importance of national interest above all.”
