Mumbai, July 10 (NationPress) Actress Neha Dhupia has voiced her thoughts on the scrutiny women face regarding their age and looks. She emphasized the necessity to cease microscopic evaluations of women's appearances, regardless of whether they are in their 20s or 40s.
During an event aimed at dermatologists, Neha was unexpectedly asked by a male doctor about her “secrets” to maintaining a youthful appearance in her 40s.
Neha replied: “I have been practicing yoga for years, and it has truly assisted me in remaining balanced, calm, and healthy internally, which is reflected externally as well.”
She clearly stated that it is acceptable to pursue any method one chooses to “look and feel” a certain way at any age, but judging someone based on their appearance, particularly women, is unacceptable.
“Asking women about their supposed secrets to beauty or youthfulness is so backhanded and normalized. Such inquiries should not be tolerated. We must stop scrutinizing women for their looks at any age, whether they are in their 20s or 40s.”
Neha expressed gratitude for how yoga has positively impacted her well-being.
“True beauty lies in embracing oneself and allowing others to do the same without the fear of judgment.”
On the acting front, Neha was recently featured in the film “Bad Newz”, alongside Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk. This spiritual sequel to the 2019 film Good Newwz focuses on heteropaternal superfecundation, a reproductive phenomenon where twins share the same mother but have different biological fathers.
Additionally, she appeared as a gang leader in the youth-centric reality show “MTV Roadies: Double Cross”, the twentieth season of MTV Roadies. This season was claimed by Kushal "Gullu" Tanwar from Gang Elvish, with Hartaaj Singh Gill from Gang Prince securing the second position.
