Chennai, April 14 (NationPress) The creators of the Tamil blockbuster film ‘Sachein’, starring Vijay and Genelia D’souza in lead roles, have unveiled a new trailer for the movie on the occasion of Tamil New Year’s Day this Monday.
The film is set to hit theaters again on April 18 to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
Producer Kalaipuli S Thanu, who originally brought the film to life two decades ago in 2005, announced the trailer's release on his X timeline, stating, “Sachein trailer out now! #Sachein Grand theatrical release on April 18th.”
This news was met with excitement from fans and cinema enthusiasts.
Actress Genelia D’Souza also expressed her delight, sharing that the film holds a special place in her heart.
In response to Thanu's announcement, Genelia tweeted, “Sachein - Has my heart always.”
Thanu replied, saying, “Thank you!”
Upon its initial release in 2005, the film was a massive success. Alongside Genelia, the movie featured Bipasha Basu, who made her Tamil debut in this film.
Directed by John Mahendran, Sachein is a romantic comedy that follows the journey of the lead character Sachein, portrayed by Vijay, and his love interest, Shalini (played by Genelia). The film proved to be a blockbuster, grossing four times its production cost.
