The NIA team visited the residence of an individual named Mainul Hasan, who was called in for a lengthy interrogation. It is reported that Mainul is a migrant worker by profession, having worked in both Delhi and Mumbai.
It has come to light that Mainul had connections with members of certain militant organizations during his time in those cities.
Mainul's phone number was traced back to one of the suspects involved in the Delhi blast.
A search operation was also executed at Mainul's residence. In addition to Mainul's home, investigative officers are canvassing nearby villages in Murshidabad for further inquiries.
Reports suggest that aside from Mainul, several other individuals have emerged in the investigation. The operation is ongoing, focusing on whether these local residents have any direct or indirect ties to the Delhi blast. The residents of the area were taken aback by this unexpected operation.
At least eight individuals lost their lives and many more were injured following a blast in a car near the Red Fort on Monday evening.
