Odisha CM Celebrates EAM Jaishankar's Birthday, Acknowledges His Role in Enhancing India's Global Influence

New Delhi, Jan 9 (NationPress) Odisha's Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi sent heartfelt birthday wishes to External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar on Thursday, praising him for his role in enhancing India's global influence.
CM Majhi expressed wishes for good health, happiness, and success for the EAM.
In his praise for EAM Jaishankar, CM Majhi remarked that his outstanding leadership and unwavering efforts to improve India's standing on the global stage are praiseworthy.
"Warm birthday wishes to @DrSJaishankar Ji, Hon’ble External Affairs Minister of India. Your outstanding leadership and unwavering efforts in enhancing India’s global standing are genuinely commendable. May this year bring you good health, happiness, and ongoing success," CM Majhi stated in a post on the social media platform X.
Earlier that day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also conveyed birthday wishes to EAM Jaishankar, acknowledging his dedicated service to the nation and his commitment to strengthening India's foreign relations.
On social media, PM Modi wrote, "Birthday wishes to EAM Dr. S. Jaishankar Ji. He has diligently served the nation and worked towards fortifying our foreign relations. I wish him a long and healthy life."
In reply to the Prime Minister's wishes, EAM Jaishankar expressed gratitude, stating, "Thank you, PM Narendra Modi, for your kind wishes. It’s a great honor to be part of your team."
EAM Jaishankar has been serving as India's External Affairs Minister since May 30, 2019.
Previously, he held the position of India’s Foreign Secretary from 2015 to 2018 and has held significant ambassadorial roles, including Ambassador to the United States (2013–2015), China (2009–2013), and the Czech Republic (2000–2004).
He was also India’s High Commissioner to Singapore (2007–2009) and has undertaken key assignments in Moscow, Colombo, Budapest, and Tokyo.
EAM Jaishankar is an alumnus of St. Stephen's College, University of Delhi, where he graduated, and holds a Master's degree in Political Science, along with an M.Phil. and Ph.D. in International Relations from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Delhi.
A recipient of the Padma Shri award and a prolific author, S. Jaishankar has written several books, including 'The India Way: Strategies for an Uncertain World' and 'Why Bharat Matters'.
