Hyderabad, Sep 28 (NationPress) Bhupender Yadav, the Union Minister for Environment, Forests and Climate Change, achieved a remarkable milestone by planting the one millionth tree at Kanha Shanti Vanam, the headquarters of the non-profit organization 'Heartfulness', located on the outskirts of Hyderabad.

This significant event was part of the celebrations commemorating the 70th birthday of Daaji, the spiritual guide of Heartfulness and President of the Shri Ram Chandra Mission. The event also welcomed former President Ram Nath Kovind.

During his address, Yadav emphasized the importance of education, health, gender justice, equality, and resource availability, while highlighting the essential role of biodiversity in our world.

He stated, "We must maintain a balanced ecosystem, a principle actively pursued under the insightful vision of Daaji. While happiness is sought by all, if it were solely derived from material success, the developed nations would not face such high rates of depression," he remarked.

The Minister further elucidated that Indian practices of yoga are deeply connected with nature.

He explained, "Our Ayurveda is linked with the 'panch-bhootas'. We seek wholeness through yoga and meditation. Dhyan promotes integrity, and Heartfulness exemplifies the harmony between spirit and nature."

Yadav also mentioned the initiative 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' as a critical policy approach for environmental conservation and energy efficiency.

He observed that the fundamental principle of a symbiotic relationship with nature is a core value in India, perfectly embodied by Heartfulness.

Heartfulness reported that over 35,000 individuals, along with numerous online participants globally, attended the event. Yadav and Kovind unveiled special publications authored by Daaji.

Kovind praised Daaji's guidance for fostering inner transformation and enhancing our relationship with the environment. He lauded the extensive work by Heartfulness in Gujarat, showcasing how people and nature can harmoniously coexist.

Daaji remarked that with collective effort and willing hearts, remarkable achievements are possible in this nation, paving the way for a promising future. He expressed, "To illuminate the world, India must emerge as the spiritual epicenter. Spirituality enriches our understanding of divinity, fortifying inner harmony, which guides us from within. The essence of Sahaj Marg is not to cultivate disciples but to nurture masters. It is essential to sensitize the heart before embarking on the path of contemplation."
