Outgoing Governor Raghubar Das Commends Odisha for Its Developmental Achievements Rooted in Tradition

Bhubaneswar, Dec 25 (NationPress) Outgoing Governor Raghubar Das remarked on Wednesday that Odisha's ability to advance on the road of development while still honoring its traditions is profoundly inspiring.
"Odisha has gained accolades for its vibrant culture and illustrious traditions. The zeal and unmatched hospitality of the people of Odisha have made a lasting impression on my heart. Odisha's success in progressing while maintaining its traditions is indeed commendable," Das stated.
He elaborated that after spending over 13 months in Odisha, he departs with immense gratitude and admiration for its residents. He further extended his wishes for ongoing development and prosperity for the state.
It is important to acknowledge that Das recently submitted his resignation from the governorship due to personal reasons. He expressed his gratitude towards President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Home Minister Amit Shah for the opportunity to serve Odisha and Lord Jagannath.
Earlier on Wednesday, Das visited Puri and prayed at the Jagannath Temple.
The outgoing governor later shared with reporters that he hails from a labor background. He mentioned that after joining the BJP in 1980, he has contributed to the party from the grassroots level to the Mandal, state, and national tiers.
"I also had the chance to serve the people of Jharkhand. Our party will determine my future role," added Das.
He expressed optimism that Odisha will evolve into a developed state by 2036, coinciding with the centenary of its establishment.
The seasoned BJP leader and former Chief Minister of the adjacent state of Jharkhand was appointed as the Governor of Odisha on October 18, 2023.
Notably, President Droupadi Murmu appointed Hari Babu Kambhampati, the current Governor of Mizoram, as the new governor of Odisha on Tuesday.
