He expressed his optimism that the newly elected BJP MLA would facilitate significant development in Nuapada.
In a message shared on his X handle, Patnaik stated, “I would like to congratulate the BJP candidate on his victory and sincerely hope he will honor this mandate by delivering meaningful progress to Nuapada. Elections may come and go, but our principles and respect for the faith of the people must always endure.”
Patnaik subtly referenced concerns regarding the alleged misuse of government resources and manipulations by the ruling BJP during the recent Nuapada bypoll. He emphasized that institutions such as the Election Commission of India (ECI) bear the responsibility of ensuring fair and transparent elections across the nation.
Furthermore, he affirmed that the BJD will persist in its efforts to safeguard the rights of the people of Odisha. “The BJD has experienced numerous highs and lows, yet our commitment to advocate for the populace remains steadfast. We draw inspiration from Biju Babu, the relentless fighter. Our struggle for the rights of the people of #Odisha will continue,” added Patnaik.
The former Chief Minister expressed gratitude towards all BJD leaders and workers who dedicated their efforts and resources to the party during the Nuapada by-election. “To every leader, every worker, and every supporter of @bjd_odisha who stood united, worked diligently, and devoted themselves to the BJD in the #Nuapada byelection, I offer my heartfelt thanks. Your dedication and spirit are the true strength of our party,” remarked the BJD leader.
