This campaign aims to enhance women's health and empowerment.
The event was virtually inaugurated by PM Modi through video conferencing from Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, where he emphasized the significance of women's health and encouraged their active participation in the free health screenings available at medical camps nationwide.
The launch in Mumbai saw the presence of BJP MLA Manisha Chaudhary, BMC Commissioner Bhushan Gagrani, and several other prominent leaders, alongside a large audience of female beneficiaries.
During the event, nutrition kits were distributed to pregnant women to ensure their maternal health is adequately supported.
In remarks to the media, Piyush Goyal expressed, "On this momentous occasion of the Prime Minister's birthday, we extend our heartfelt greetings and well wishes to him. We pray for his long life and good health, allowing him to continue serving India and its 1.4 billion citizens. For over five decades, he has committed himself to public service, prioritizing the nation above all else."
He highlighted the extensive service initiatives being launched, stating, "Over a hundred service programs are being rolled out across various sectors in North Mumbai. Each ward is organizing events focused on healthcare, cleanliness, and medical camps. A new initiative named the Standard Club is being introduced in educational institutions to promote awareness of quality and safety... Additionally, numerous services are being launched nationwide today."
Goyal also mentioned the establishment of various medical camps in slum areas.
"We are introducing a new campaign to provide pregnant women with kits that ensure adequate nutrition during the first few months of pregnancy and for several months post-delivery," he explained.
In an effort to enhance hygiene, Goyal noted, "We implemented a community initiative to distribute sanitary pads to girls in municipal schools. This project is being rolled out in all municipal schools across Mumbai."
Manisha Chaudhary, who participated in the launch, remarked that the nation is organizing health camps, particularly focused on women, in honor of PM Modi's birthday.
