Ahmedabad, Sep 19 (NationPress) In celebration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, the Bharuch district administration in Gujarat has introduced the “Swasth Nari – Sashakt Parivar” initiative, which features a series of health camps dedicated to enhancing women’s health. This campaign aims to increase awareness regarding women’s health while delivering complimentary medical services. Health camps have been established in both urban and rural locations, providing essential check-ups for blood pressure, diabetes, and hemoglobin levels.
Women including pregnant individuals, adolescent girls, and women of all ages are also being offered nutritional advice, health counseling, and necessary medications.
Participants such as Urmila Pandu and Dimpleben expressed their gratitude for the services, highlighting the convenience and accessibility of the free care. One participant noted, “Such initiatives ensure that women from every section of society can focus on their health.” Dr. Munira Shukla, Chief District Health Officer of Bharuch, emphasized the campaign’s significant social message: “A healthy woman means a strong family.” She added that the extensive outreach exemplifies the administration’s dedication to preventive and inclusive healthcare.
Over the next 15 days, a total of 3,848 health camps will be conducted in Bharuch district, offering approximately 296 types of medical services. Among these, 320 will be specialized camps manned by gynecologists, pediatricians, physicians, and other specialists.
These specialized camps are being organized in partnership with Bharuch Medical College, Rajpipla Medical College, Sub-Divisional Hospital Jambusar, ESIC Hospital Ankleshwar, PMJAY empanelled hospitals, and the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Bharuch. The campaign has already seen enthusiastic participation, with hundreds of women availing themselves of diagnostic and treatment services on the very first day.
In another significant event, the Minister of State for Home, Harsh Sanghavi, recently inaugurated what is touted as the world’s largest Mega Blood Donation Camp at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. This event, organized by the Akhil Bharatiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad under the theme “Raktadan Amrit Mahotsav 2.0”, celebrated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday as well as the organization’s 61st foundation day.
