Gandhinagar, Sep 23 (NationPress) In Gujarat, numerous health camps are being organized under the Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan, emphasizing women's health. These initiatives are taking place across various districts, such as Narmada, Aravalli, and Vasad, offering complimentary health checkups to women while promoting awareness about preventive healthcare.

In Narmada district, a health check-up camp is underway at the Tilakwala Community Centre from September 17 to October 2, coinciding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 75th birthday. The camp features screenings for gynaecological issues, eye exams, blood pressure monitoring, and diabetes assessments. The event was inaugurated by Nandod MLA Darshna Deshmukh, who lit the ceremonial lamp. District Panchayat President Bhimsingh Tadvi, the Chief Health Officer (CHO), and other local dignitaries were also in attendance.

Over 500 women have benefited from the services provided at this camp.

"On PM Modi's birthday, we are hosting the Swasth Nari Programme. We are extending free health checkups to all. For women experiencing health challenges, such as breast cancer, we are ensuring thorough screenings and diagnostics," the MLA shared with IANS.

One of the beneficiaries, Usha Rohit, expressed her gratitude, stating, "PM Modi is offering free medical health camps. This initiative is incredibly beneficial. I hope these camps continue in the future. It’s uplifting to witness people receiving free health checkups."

In a similar vein, a health camp took place in the Aravalli district at the Malpur Community Health Centre under the same initiative. More than 200 individuals, predominantly women, took advantage of health checkups, medical advice, and treatment. The camp was effectively conducted under the guidance of Dr. Yogesh Goswami, Superintendent of the Malpur CHC. A medical team, including doctors from SMS Hospital, Ahmedabad, provided services across multiple specialties while raising public awareness about health practices.

Jasubhai, a local resident, remarked, “This health camp is immensely helpful for those in need. Whether someone is dealing with acidity or other health concerns, the government is providing free medical checkups. It’s a significant relief for individuals unable to afford private healthcare.”

In Vasad village of Anand district, the campaign was also initiated on PM Modi's birthday. Residents from surrounding villages attended the health camp for various checkups. The medical professionals ensured the event was executed smoothly while delivering quality services.

A diverse range of general outpatient (OPD) services were available during the camp, including dental, mental health, ophthalmological, orthopaedic, and pediatric care. Patients not only received examinations but also free medications as required. Numerous women from Vasad and nearby villages actively participated in the camp.

The Vasad Community Health Centre hosted an extensive medical camp that included specialist doctors, diagnostic services, and medication distribution—all at no cost.

Priyanka Goswami, a Vasad resident who attended the camp, stated: "I am very pleased with this health camp. We are receiving free treatment and screenings. I want to express my gratitude to PM Modi for bringing such services to our village."

Launched on September 17 by Prime Minister Modi on his 75th birthday, this campaign aligns with his vision of empowering communities through improved healthcare.
