Bhopal, March 1 (NationPress) Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced on Saturday that the PM Mitra Park being constructed in Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh will rank among the largest textile facilities in the nation, likely generating over one lakh direct and more than two lakh indirect job opportunities.
The Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC), designated as the primary developer for this initiative, has been tasked with creating a comprehensive blueprint and layout for the park, which will cover an area of around 1,563 acres in Bhainsola village, Dhar district.
This ambitious project aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 5F vision—comprising farm, fiber, factory, fashion, and foreign—to position India as a premier textile hub and a self-sufficient nation.
The Chief Minister emphasized that this development will significantly boost the textile sector in Madhya Pradesh.
He highlighted that the state currently hosts over 60 large textile mills and more than 1,200 units in the readymade garment and apparel cluster in Indore.
With 43 percent of India’s organic cotton production and a 24 percent contribution to the global cotton supply, Madhya Pradesh produces around 31,700 metric tons of cotton annually, earning it the title of the Cotton Capital of India.
The Chief Minister noted that under the new textile policy, Madhya Pradesh has secured an impressive Rs 3,513 crore investment through the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, the highest in the country.
Furthermore, significant investments are being directed towards Biaora and Neemuch, where large-scale textile parks are under development to stimulate industrial growth.
Madhya Pradesh is progressing towards modern industrialization while honoring its rich textile heritage.
With investor-friendly initiatives, world-class textile parks, and attractive economic incentives, the state is establishing a strong presence not only in India’s textile market but also on the global stage.
