New Delhi, Dec 25 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to arrive in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday to commemorate the 101st birth anniversary of the esteemed former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna, Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He will officially open the Rashtra Prerna Sthal in Lucknow.

The ceremony is scheduled for approximately 2:30 p.m., during which the Prime Minister will address a public assembly, as informed by officials.

Robust security measures have been implemented in anticipation of the PM's visit.

The Rashtra Prerna Sthal embodies Prime Minister Modi's vision to celebrate the contributions of India’s prominent leaders. It is intended to be a tribute to the life, principles, and lasting influence of one of India’s most respected politicians, whose leadership significantly shaped the nation’s democratic, political, and developmental progress.

This site has been established as a national memorial and an inspirational complex of substantial importance.

Constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 230 crore and spanning a large area of 65 acres, the facility aims to be a lasting national asset that promotes leadership values, civic participation, cultural consciousness, and public motivation.

The complex is adorned with 65-foot tall bronze statues of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, and Atal Bihari Vajpayee, representing their pivotal roles in India’s political discourse, nation-building, and public service.

Additionally, it features a cutting-edge museum crafted in the shape of a lotus, covering roughly 98,000 square feet.

This museum chronicles India's national journey and the legacies of these visionary leaders using advanced digital and immersive technologies, ensuring a captivating and educational experience for visitors.

Prior to the inauguration, Uttar Pradesh Urban Development Minister A.K. Sharma and Lucknow Mayor Sushma Kharakwal conducted a site inspection, acknowledging the extensive efforts made in revitalizing the area.

Sharma noted that the park encompasses roughly 80-85 acres, a significant portion of which was previously a major garbage dump, leading to severe sanitation and environmental concerns.

“Until about three years back, over one-third of this land was engulfed by a substantial garbage dump, causing serious issues for passersby,” Sharma remarked.

He further explained that approximately 6.5 lakh metric tonnes of waste were cleared, successfully reclaiming 32 acres of land, transforming a previously neglected and malodorous area into a sprawling national inspirational park.

The inauguration of the Rashtra Prerna Sthal signifies a crucial milestone in upholding and advocating the principles of selfless leadership and effective governance, poised to inspire current and future generations.
