He emphasized that Vajpayee effectively led a coalition government, demonstrating that political differences can be reconciled when national interests take precedence.
CM Dhami remarked that Vajpayee’s principles continue to influence contemporary governance under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He pointed out that initiatives like Startup India, Make in India, Digital India, and Vocal for Local have propelled India towards self-reliance and inclusive development.
According to the Chief Minister, India is on track to become a leading global economic force, making significant strides in the defense, space, and infrastructure sectors.
He stated that during the tenure of the PM Modi-led Union government, almost 99 percent of villages have been connected by roads, alongside notable advancements in health, education, and transport.
Focusing on the revival of culture and spirituality, CM Dhami noted remarkable efforts made to safeguard India's civilizational heritage, referencing projects like the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, Mahakal Lok in Ujjain, and the redevelopment of the Badrinath and Kedarnath shrines.
He also mentioned pivotal policy changes, such as the abrogation of Article 370, the abolition of triple talaq, the implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act, and amendments to Waqf laws, asserting that these actions reinforced the vision of 'Ek Bharat, Shreshta Bharat'.
The Uttarakhand Chief Minister commended Andhra Pradesh's Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for his contributions to the state’s development, including the Polavaram project and the forthcoming industrial and semiconductor units.
He concluded by stating that inspired by Vajpayee, the formation of Uttarakhand became feasible, and under PM Modi's leadership, the state is progressing swiftly in education, healthcare, employment, and good governance.
