New Delhi, Dec 14 (NationPress) Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended the ceremony to unveil a statue of Bharat Ratna and late former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in Madanapalle located in Annamayya district of Andhra Pradesh. The event was part of the BJP’s 'Atal–Modi Good Governance Yatra', where the Chief Minister also spoke to the public.

CM Dhami expressed his pride in being part of the event organized by the BJP in Andhra Pradesh, commemorating the birth centenary of former PM Vajpayee.

He characterized Vajpayee as a remarkable statesman whose life was a testament to nationalism, democratic values, and profound humanism.

Reflecting on Vajpayee's time as Prime Minister, he noted that India made significant advancements under his leadership, including the Pokhran nuclear tests, the Golden Quadrilateral highway project, the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, and the telecom revolution.

Dhami highlighted Vajpayee’s adeptness at governing a coalition, showcasing that political differences can be reconciled when national interests are at stake.

The Chief Minister mentioned that Vajpayee’s principles continue to influence the current governance approach under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He emphasized that initiatives like Startup India, Make in India, Digital India, and Vocal for Local have propelled India towards self-sufficiency and inclusive growth.

According to Dhami, India is on the path to becoming a significant global economic force, with rapid advancements in defense, space, and infrastructure.

He asserted that nearly 99 percent of villages have been connected by roads during PM Modi’s administration, along with notable enhancements in healthcare, education, and transportation.

Highlighting cultural and spiritual development, CM Dhami mentioned extensive efforts to safeguard India’s civilizational heritage, including the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, Mahakal Lok in Ujjain, and the redevelopment of the Badrinath and Kedarnath shrines.

He also pointed out significant policy reforms such as the abrogation of Article 370, the annulment of triple talaq, and the implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act, which have reinforced the vision of 'Ek Bharat, Shreshta Bharat'.

CM Dhami commended Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for the state's developmental efforts, which include the Polavaram project and upcoming industrial and semiconductor ventures.

He concluded by stating that inspired by Vajpayee, the formation of Uttarakhand was made possible, and under PM Modi's leadership, the state is swiftly progressing in education, healthcare, employment, and good governance.
