The video, shared by Modi Archive, a well-known account on X, showcases then-Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi commemorating the 79th birthday of the esteemed BJP leader in 2003, while praising his impactful contributions to development.
“Atal Bihari Vajpayee is the catalyst of change behind India’s ascent,” he stated as he highlighted the numerous transformative initiatives and policy choices made during Vajpayee's tenure as India’s first BJP Prime Minister.

In the over 1-minute clip, dated December 25, 2003, the Gujarat CM elaborated on how the country gained prominence under then-PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
“The Vajpayee government's Golden Quadrilateral Project enhanced road connectivity, while the Sagarmala Project fostered port-led development across the nation. During his leadership, global powers united in the fight against terrorism, leaving Pakistan isolated on the Kashmir matter,” he explained.
Further discussing India’s foreign reserves, he noted that India was experiencing a surplus in foreign investments for the first time, with his administration’s influence evident in the nation’s rapid progress.
Earlier this day, PM Modi honored Atal Bihari Vajpayee as the "architect of India's evolution" and praised his efforts toward political stability, nation-building, and effective governance.
Emphasizing Vajpayee's crucial role in shaping India’s future, PM Modi expressed, "Our nation will forever be thankful to Atal Ji for being the architect of India's transition into the 21st century."
