Kurukshetra, Nov 21 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Haryana, Nayab Singh Saini, stated on Friday that the ninth Sikh Guru, Tegh Bahadur, made an extraordinary sacrifice for the safeguarding of humanity, faith, and the nation. This legacy is one that must be disseminated among all individuals to inspire future generations with this significant history.
To propagate the teachings of the Guru’s sacrifice, penance, and illustrious heritage, the Haryana government, along with the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, is honoring the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur in Jyotisar.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to participate in this significant event.
Following the event, the Prime Minister will visit the Mahabharata Anubhav Kendra, which is prepared to welcome visitors from both within India and abroad. He will also inaugurate the Panchjanya at the same venue.
Moreover, PM Modi will engage in the International Gita Mahotsav and partake in the Maha Aarti.
CM Saini informed the media on Friday, after reviewing the Jyotisar location in Kurukshetra district, that in honor of this anniversary, four Nagar Kirtan Yatras are being organized throughout the state, traversing all districts of Haryana. These yatras will culminate here on November 24.
On November 25, a grand ‘samagam’ will take place here on the Shaheedi diwas, with PM Modi attending as the chief guest. He mentioned that the Haryana state government is persistently working to promote the traditions, teachings, and sacrifices of the Gurus and other notable figures.
In this context, the government celebrated the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev with immense honor, and now the 350th Shaheedi diwas of Guru Tegh Bahadur is also being commemorated.
Emphasizing various initiatives taken by the government, he asserted that it is the steadfast commitment of the state to raise awareness about the Gurus’ sacrifices and their unmatched contributions to humanity, ensuring that future generations can draw inspiration from these sacred legacies.
