During a tele-conference with ministers, MPs, MLCs, MLAs, and leaders from the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Jana Sena Party, and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from Nandyal and Kurnool districts, he discussed preparations for the Prime Minister’s visit scheduled for Thursday.
The Prime Minister is set to offer prayers at the Srisailam temple and will hold a public meeting in Kurnool to highlight the advantages of the GST 2.0 reforms.
Chief Minister Naidu noted that the Prime Minister will initiate development projects valued at Rs 13,000 crore.
On the subject of GST reforms, he mentioned that each family stands to gain approximately Rs 15,000. He announced the launch of a month-long campaign aimed at increasing public awareness regarding the benefits of these reforms.
“We have successfully conducted initiatives like Yogandhra and the revitalization of Amaravati projects. Now, I urge you to make the Super GST Super Savings initiative a triumph,” he stated.
The Chief Minister reassured that the government has taken all necessary steps to facilitate a smooth experience for attendees at the Prime Minister's meeting in Kurnool. He emphasized the need for leaders from the three parties to work together at the village level to ensure the event's success.
Naidu expressed that the state is experiencing significant benefits from the double-engine government.
He also highlighted the advantages of various policies and welfare initiatives made possible through the cooperation with the Centre.
Naidu referenced the recent MoU signed with Google for establishing an AI Data centre in Visakhapatnam, which represents an investment of 15 billion USD, marking it as the largest foreign direct investment in India.
He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Modi and Union Ministers Nirmala Sitaraman and Ashwini Vaisnav for their support in securing the Google centre for Visakhapatnam, acknowledging the extensive efforts of IT Minister Nara Lokesh from the outset.
Recalling the arrival of Microsoft in Hyderabad in 1998, he noted how it laid the groundwork for a thriving IT ecosystem and the knowledge economy, and he hopes that Google's investment will similarly transform Visakhapatnam.
The Chief Minister remarked that the state has suffered more from the previous government's actions than from the challenges posed by bifurcation.
Naidu stated that numerous governance errors were made, and correcting these will require considerable time.
