Amaravati, Oct 15 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate, lay the foundation stone, and dedicate a series of significant development projects totaling approximately Rs 13,430 crore in Andhra Pradesh on Thursday.

During an event in Kurnool, he will initiate projects across various sectors including industry, power transmission, roads, railways, defence manufacturing, and petroleum and natural gas.

Additionally, he will address a public gathering themed 'Super GST-Super Saving' as part of the state government's awareness campaign regarding the latest GST reforms.

This initiative aims to showcase the efforts of both the union and state governments in enhancing financial efficiency through the new generation of GST reforms.

The Prime Minister will also perform Pooja and Darshan at Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Varla Devasthanam in Srisailam, located in the Nandyal district. Following this, he will visit the Sree Shivaji Spoorthi Kendra in Srisailam.

Afterward, PM Modi will head to Kurnool to unveil several projects and address the public.

He will lay the foundation for the Transmission System Strengthening at the Kurnool-III Pooling Station with an investment exceeding Rs 2,880 crore. This project includes the construction of a 765 KV double-circuit transmission line from Kurnool-III Pooling Station to Chilakaluripeta, enhancing transformation capacity by 6,000 MVA and facilitating large-scale renewable energy transmission to support national growth.

As per the Prime Minister’s Office, he will also lay foundation stones for the Orvakal Industrial Area in Kurnool and the Kopparthy Industrial Area in Kadapa, with a combined investment surpassing Rs 4,920 crore.

Developed in collaboration with the National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust (NICDIT) and Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Ltd (APIIC), these modern industrial hubs are designed with plug-and-play infrastructure and a walk-to-work concept, expected to draw Rs 21,000 crore in investments and create around one lakh jobs, thus bolstering industrial growth and global competitiveness in Rayalaseema.

The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation for a six-lane Greenfield Highway from Sabbavaram to Sheelanagar, costing over Rs 960 crore, aimed at alleviating congestion in Visakhapatnam and promoting trade and job creation.

Additionally, six road projects valued at Rs 1,140 crore will be inaugurated, improving safety, reducing travel times, and enhancing regional connectivity throughout Andhra Pradesh.

PM Modi will lay the foundation stone and dedicate several key railway projects worth over Rs 1,200 crore to the nation.

He will initiate the Kottavalasa-Vizianagaram Fourth Railway Line and the Rail Flyover between Pendurti and Simhachalam North, and dedicate the doubling of the Kottavalasa-Boddavara and Shimiliguda-Gorapur sections.

In the energy sector, PM Modi will dedicate the Srikakulam–Angul Natural Gas Pipeline by GAIL India Limited, constructed at a cost of approximately Rs 1,730 crore, spanning 124 km in Andhra Pradesh and 298 km in Odisha.

He will also inaugurate Indian Oil's 60 TMTPA LPG bottling plant in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, established with an investment of around Rs 200 crore. This facility will cater to over 7.2 lakh customers via 80 distributors across four districts of Andhra Pradesh, two districts of Tamil Nadu, and one district of Karnataka, playing a vital role in ensuring a reliable LPG supply for households and businesses in the region.

To enhance defence manufacturing, PM Modi will dedicate the Advanced Night Vision Products Factory in Nimmaluru, Krishna district, developed by Bharat Electronics Limited with an investment of around Rs 360 crore. This facility will produce advanced electro-optical systems for the Indian Defence Forces, boosting self-reliance in defence production and fostering skilled employment in the region, according to the PMO.
