Prime Minister Modi to Establish Green Hydrogen Hub in Andhra Pradesh and Open 18th PBD Convention in Odisha

New Delhi, Jan 7 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to travel to Andhra Pradesh and Odisha for a two-day visit on January 8-9, during which he will lay the foundation, dedicate, and inaugurate projects valued at over Rs 2 lakh crore, concentrating on sustainable development, industrial expansion, and infrastructure improvement.
On Wednesday, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for the NTPC Green Energy Ltd's Green Hydrogen Hub Project in Pudimadaka, Andhra Pradesh, as per a statement.
This initiative, with an investment of around Rs 1.85 lakh crore, will develop a 20 GW renewable energy capacity and generate 1,500 TPD of Green Hydrogen along with 7,500 TPD of derivatives such as Green Methanol, Green Urea, and Sustainable Aviation Fuel.
The project is part of the National Green Hydrogen Mission, which aims to elevate India's renewable energy capacity to 500 GW by 2030 and enhance the export market.
The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation and dedicate various railway and road projects worth Rs 19,500 crore, including the South Coast Railway Headquarters in Visakhapatnam.
These initiatives will help to ease congestion, enhance connectivity, and promote both economic and social advancement in the area.
The park's strategic location near the Visakhapatnam-Chennai Industrial Corridor (VCIC) and the Visakhapatnam-Kakinada Petroleum, Chemical, and Petrochemical Investment Region will further stimulate economic activities.
Under the Chennai Bengaluru Industrial Corridor, this new industrial smart city in Tirupati District is expected to attract Rs 10,500 crore in investments and create approximately 1 lakh direct and indirect job opportunities.
The following day, on Thursday, PM Modi will inaugurate the 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention in Bhubaneswar.
This event, organized in collaboration with the government of Odisha, will be held from January 8-10 under the theme “Diaspora’s Contribution to a Viksit Bharat.”
Participation from over 50 countries is anticipated, providing a platform for interaction and collaboration with the Indian diaspora.
The Prime Minister will also remotely launch the Pravasi Bharatiya Express, a special tourist train catering to the Indian diaspora. This train, departing from Nizamuddin Railway Station in Delhi, will travel to numerous cultural and religious sites across India as part of the Pravasi Teertha Darshan Yojana.
