Comprehensive Preparations for PM Modi's Upcoming Visit to Vizag on January 8

Amravati, Jan 3 (NationPress) The government of Andhra Pradesh is diligently preparing for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Visakhapatnam on January 8, where he will inaugurate a range of development projects.

On Friday, Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand conducted a review of the preparations with officials from relevant departments via a video conference from the State Secretariat.

The Prime Minister is expected to lay the groundwork for the South Coast Railway Zone in Visakhapatnam.

Additionally, PM Modi will virtually initiate the construction of the NTPC Integrated Green Hydrogen Hub in Pudimadaka, located in the Anakapalle district. The NTPC plans to invest Rs 65,370 crore in this project, which will unfold in three phases, according to an official statement from the state.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister will virtually launch the Krishnapatnam Industrial Hub. This initiative, valued at Rs 1,518 crore, will occupy 2,500 acres in its first phase and is expected to generate employment for approximately 50,000 people.

In a similar vein, the foundation for the Bulk Drug Park in Nakkapalli will also be laid virtually, with an investment of Rs 1,876.66 crore across an area of 2,001.8 acres. This park is projected to provide job opportunities for 54,000 individuals with a total investment of Rs 11,542 crore.

The Prime Minister is set to arrive in the port city in the evening and will conduct a road show from Sampath Vinayaka Temple to the grounds of Andhra University Engineering College, culminating in a public address.

The Chief Minister has instructed the relevant departments to ensure comprehensive arrangements for the Prime Minister's visit. The General Administration Department has already issued directives regarding the necessary steps to be undertaken by the departments involved.

He has also directed the Visakhapatnam District Collector and Police Commissioner, along with officials from the relevant departments, to implement all essential preparations.

He emphasized that the detailed schedule for the Prime Minister's visit is yet to be confirmed, and until then, all departmental arrangements should proceed at an accelerated pace.

Given the expected turnout of numerous attendees and public representatives for the road show, appropriate measures should be taken for vehicle parking.

In anticipation of the Prime Minister's evening visit, the Chief Secretary has instructed the officials from the Electricity and Municipal departments to set up suitable lighting along the road show route, as well as at the venue and various parking areas.

The Collectors of the respective districts have been tasked with arranging transportation for attendees from Visakhapatnam and neighboring districts, such as Anakapalle, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, and others, to ensure their safe return following the Prime Minister's visit.
