Prime Minister to Unveil Initiatives Exceeding Rs 2 Lakh Crore in Vizag Today

Visakhapatnam, Jan 8 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate and lay the foundations for projects exceeding Rs 2 lakh crore this evening.
This marks the Prime Minister's first visit to Andhra Pradesh since the TDP-led NDA assumed power in the state. He will participate in a roadshow and address a public gathering where multiple significant projects will be virtually launched, emphasizing sustainable growth and infrastructure development, especially in North Andhra Pradesh.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan will join the Prime Minister during the roadshow and the public meeting.
Upon his arrival at INS Dega at 4:15 p.m., the Prime Minister will lead the roadshow from Siripuram Cross Roads to AU Engineering College, the location of the public meeting.
Governor S. Abdul Nazeer, Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, Civil Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu, Union Minister of State Bhupati Raju Srinivasa Varma, several state ministers, BJP MP and state party president Purandeswari will share the stage with the Prime Minister.
This will be Modi's second visit to Andhra Pradesh during his third term as Prime Minister.
Previously, he attended the swearing-in ceremony of Chandrababu Naidu and his ministers in Vijayawada last June.
His planned visit to Visakhapatnam on November 29 was postponed due to a cyclone warning.
The state government has made extensive preparations for the Prime Minister’s visit.
The TDP and its allies Jana Sena and BJP are organizing participation from various regions in North Andhra for the roadshow and public meeting.
Authorities anticipate that 80,000 individuals will join the roadshow, while approximately 200,000 are expected at the public meeting.
The roadshow will commence at 4:45 p.m. from the Venkatadri Vantillu restaurant area in Siripuram.
The public meeting is scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. The Prime Minister will depart the venue at 6:50 p.m. and head back to the air station around 7:15 p.m. for his trip to Bhubaneswar.
During this visit, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for the South Coast Railway Zone (SCoR) headquarters in Visakhapatnam, fulfilling a long-standing demand of the state under the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014.
Additionally, he will lay the cornerstone for the NTPC Green Energy Limited’s (NGEL) Green Hydrogen Hub at Pudimadaka in Atchutapuram mandal of Anakapalle district.
This significant project, developed under the National Green Hydrogen Mission, entails an investment of Rs 1.85 lakh crore and aims for 20 gigawatts of renewable energy capacity to generate 1,500 tonnes of green hydrogen daily.
The project will also yield 7,500 tonnes of green hydrogen derivatives, such as green methanol, green urea, and sustainable aviation fuel, primarily targeting export markets.
Moreover, the Prime Minister will launch numerous road and railway projects in Andhra Pradesh, collectively valued at Rs 19,500 crore.
He will also lay the foundation stone for a bulk drug park at Nakkapalli in Anakapalle district.
With an investment of Rs 1,438.89 crore, the park is strategically located near the Visakhapatnam-Chennai Industrial Corridor (VCIC) and the Visakhapatnam-Kakinada Petrochemical and Investment Region, promising thousands of jobs and increased industrial activity in the region.
Additionally, the foundation will be laid for the Krishnapatnam Industrial Area (KRIS City) in Tirupati district under the Chennai-Bengaluru Industrial Corridor. This initiative is projected to attract investments of Rs 10,500 crore and create nearly 100,000 direct and indirect jobs.
