New Delhi, Oct 21 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Diwali letter, which spotlighted Operation Sindoor, Viksit Bharat, the struggle against Maoism, GST reforms, and the advocacy of Swadeshi products, has garnered significant backing from BJP leaders. They emphasize that PM Modi’s primary vision is to transform India into Aatmanirbhar (self-reliant) through the embrace of Swadeshi.
BJP MP Manoj Tiwari shared with IANS, “PM Modi firmly believes that each citizen should strive for self-reliance. He envisions every household being capable of managing its own needs. Initiatives like PM-SVANidhi Yojana and Mudra Yojana have empowered individuals and fortified the foundation of our nation.”
Tiwari further stated, “His ultimate dream is to make the populace Aatmanirbhar through Swadeshi. I consider this a pivotal step. If citizens embrace this vision, India will evolve into a developed nation well before 2047. From lowering GST rates to fostering local production, all his efforts are aligned with that goal. I encourage everyone to read his letter and heed his message.”
BJP MP Dinesh Sharma concurred, asserting, “Each speech and appeal from the Prime Minister reflects the overwhelming support of the public. I can assert with confidence that no other leader in India today has such extensive public endorsement.”
He continued, “From advocating for Aatmanirbhar Bharat to celebrating GST Bachat Utsav during Navratri and Diwali, the public has responded enthusiastically. PM Modi has also tackled the issue of Naxalism, with around 95% of it being eradicated. His vision of a self-reliant India is taking shape.”
Earlier today, PM Modi conveyed Diwali wishes through a letter, drawing a comparison between Lord Ram and Operation Sindoor. He remarked that just as Lord Ram embodies dignity and righteousness, he inspires the fight against injustice.
In his letter, PM Modi stated that India showcased a strong example of this philosophy a few months back during Operation Sindoor, where the nation upheld its dignity and avenged wrongdoings.
“I wish you all a joyous Deepavali, a festival brimming with energy and enthusiasm. This marks the second Deepavali since the magnificent construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Lord Shri Ram inspires us to maintain righteousness and have the courage to oppose injustice. We witnessed a living example of this during Operation Sindoor. In that endeavor, Bharat not only upheld righteousness but also retaliated against injustice,” PM Modi conveyed in his letter.
“This Deepavali is particularly significant as, for the first time, lamps will illuminate numerous districts nationwide, including remote areas. These districts have seen the eradication of Naxalism and Maoist terrorism at their roots. Recently, many individuals have renounced violence, choosing instead to integrate into the development mainstream and placing their trust in the Constitution. This represents a major triumph for our nation,” he added.
Amid these historic achievements, PM Modi also accentuated the government’s latest economic reforms.
“On the first day of Navratri, reduced GST rates were put into effect. During this ‘GST Bachat Utsav’ (Savings Festival), citizens are saving thousands of crores of rupees,” he stated.
PM Modi called for the embrace of Swadeshi products and a renewed sense of national pride.
“In a world facing multiple crises, Bharat has emerged as a beacon of stability and sensitivity. We are also poised to become the third-largest economy globally in the near future,” he declared.
“In this journey towards a ‘Viksit’ (Developed) and ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ (Self-Reliant India), our foremost duty as citizens is to fulfill our responsibilities to the nation. Let us adopt Swadeshi (local products) and proudly proclaim: ‘This is Swadeshi!’ Let us foster the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.’ Let us honor all languages. Let us maintain cleanliness. Let us prioritize our health. Let us decrease oil usage in our food by 10% and embrace Yoga,” he urged.
