New Delhi, Feb 12 (NationPress) During a session in the Rajya Sabha, Shobha Karandlaje, the Minister of State (MoS) for Labour and Employment, responded to inquiries regarding the PM Vishwakarma Yojana progress report, revealing that the public welfare initiative is being implemented at an unprecedented speed and has exceeded its expected registration goals.
The Minister informed that 30 lakh individuals have now registered for the program, qualifying them for various welfare benefits, and the initiative is well ahead of its original targets.
“The aim was to reach 30 lakh registrations in four years, yet we accomplished this milestone in just two years,” she stated, noting that approximately 5,000 crore were disbursed in loans to beneficiaries of the PM Vishwakarma scheme during this timeframe.
These revelations were made in response to a question posed by Rajya Sabha MP and BJP National Vice-President Laxmikant Bajpayee, who sought details specifically related to Uttar Pradesh.
