Chennai, April 19 (NationPress) As the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections approach on April 23, political campaigning has surged to an all-time high throughout the state. The official campaign will wrap up by the evening of April 21, providing parties with a narrow window to rally support in these critical final hours.

Senior political figures from both state and central levels have ramped up their efforts, traversing various constituencies in a flurry of rallies and roadshows. Despite the intense summer heat, these prominent leaders and Union ministers are vigorously advocating for their respective parties and alliance candidates.

The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has strategically sent its senior leaders to invigorate party members and connect directly with voters in crucial areas.

On Sunday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is at the forefront of the campaign initiative. He plans to address constituents in Sivagiri, situated in the Erode district, followed by a roadshow endorsing the BJP candidate from the Modakurichi Assembly constituency.

Later that day, HM Shah will head to Chennai for a roadshow in the Mylapore constituency at 4 p.m., supporting BJP candidate Tamilisai Soundararajan.

Prior to the roadshow, HM Shah is expected to pay homage at the historic Kapaleeshwarar Temple in Mylapore. Authorities have implemented stringent security measures due to the high-profile nature of this visit and the anticipated public attendance.

In another part of the state, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is leading the NDA's campaign efforts in southern Tamil Nadu. He is scheduled to hold a public meeting in the Radhapuram constituency of Tirunelveli district later today.

The Defence Minister will subsequently move on to Puliyangudi in Tenkasi district for additional campaigning, which includes participating in a roadshow at Panagudi, located just 400 metres from the main event.

The NDA's campaign has already featured notable visits from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Piyush Goyal, who have actively sought support for alliance candidates in recent days.

With just three days left until voting day, the frequent engagements of Union ministers highlight the significant importance the NDA places on Tamil Nadu. As the campaign enters its final phase, all major parties are exerting maximum effort to influence undecided voters and enhance turnout in what is expected to be a closely monitored electoral contest.
