New Delhi, May 30 (NationPress) Following a statement by Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, who demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi clarify to 140 crore citizens how many Rafale aircraft were downed by the Pakistani Army during the recent conflict, BJP leader Amit Malviya criticized the Congress party for posing such questions at a time when national unity is paramount. He emphasized that instead of inquiring about the number of Rafale jets lost, the Congress should focus on how many Pakistani jets were neutralized by the Indian armed forces during 'Operation Sindoor'.

In a post on his X account on Friday, Malviya, who oversees BJP's National Information & Technology Department, expressed, “After Rahul Gandhi, now Telangana Chief Minister and Congress leader Revanth Reddy asks — ‘How many Rafale jets did Pakistan shoot down?’ It’s truly unbelievable how out of touch these leaders are regarding national security matters.

“If Pakistan had genuinely downed a Rafale, there would be indisputable evidence — satellite images, wreckage, and international verification — just as we possess evidence of the destruction we caused to their airbases and terrorist camps.

“Instead of rallying behind our armed forces, Congress leaders appear to be gathering their ‘intelligence’ from WhatsApp messages, social media rumors, or, worse, their own fantasies.

“They resemble more of Pakistan’s public relations team than the Opposition of India. While they challenge our military’s achievements, none of them have asked — how many Pakistani jets have we taken out, including those stationed at their bases during operations?

“This silence is significant. It’s almost as if the questions Pakistan would like to raise are now being voiced — conveniently — by the Congress party. Whether driven by ignorance or intent, they’re aligning with enemy interests seamlessly. And they’re excelling at it.”

Malviya’s remarks followed CM Reddy’s fierce criticism of PM Modi during the ‘Jai Hind’ rally in Nizampet, where he not only questioned how many Rafale jets were shot down by the Pakistani Army but also asked why the PM, who had previously called for an all-party meeting before launching an attack on terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK), did not do so prior to halting ‘Operation Sindoor’.

CM Reddy also remarked at the rally that PM Modi has failed to detach Balochistan from Pakistan and secure control over PoK, despite the aspirations of 140 crore Indians.

On the topic of Rafales, he stated, “The troops from this (Secunderabad) Cantonment engaged in the conflict. The warplanes manufactured in Telangana upheld the dignity of our nation. Rafale aircraft brought by Narendra Modi were shot down by Pakistan. There has been no conversation on how many Rafales were taken out.”

“Narendra Modi needs to respond to how many Rafale aircraft were shot down by Pakistan during the recent conflict. Provide us with the details,” he challenged the PM.
