New Delhi, May 30 (NationPress) - BJP MP Sambit Patra criticized the Congress party on Friday for their persistent inquiries regarding the 'damages and downing' of Rafale fighter jets by Pakistan during the Operation Sindoor confrontation, asserting that the party's senior leadership has begun to align with Pakistan's narrative.

During a press briefing this morning, Patra remarked that while Congress claims to support the nation, they have consistently questioned the bravery of our military forces since the operation commenced.

He emphasized that India had successfully targeted nine terror camps and attacked 11 Pakistani air bases, with satellite imagery serving as evidence, yet Congress seems unwilling to acknowledge the facts, instead opting to believe Pakistani propaganda.

“If a Rafale had indeed crashed, there would be wreckage and evidence. There is none,” he stated, accusing Congress of sowing seeds of doubt.

The BJP spokesperson further noted that leaders like Rahul Gandhi, Jairam Ramesh, and Revanth Reddy are making regrettable comments that undermine our armed forces and damage their morale.

“They have never truly supported the nation or the military; they have been questioning from Day one how many Indian fighter jets were downed by Pakistan, despite the DGMO providing factual evidence,” Patra added.

He expressed disbelief at Jairam Ramesh, Congress’s communications head, whom he described as a close associate of the Gandhi family, for associating Pahalgam terrorists with members of the all-party delegation currently engaged in a global outreach initiative.

Earlier, BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya also criticized Telangana CM Revanth Reddy for querying, “how many Rafales were shot down by Pakistan?”

“Rather than supporting our military, Congress leaders seem to be drawing their ‘intelligence’ from WhatsApp forwards or social media rumors, sounding more like Pakistan's PR team than the opposition in India,” he remarked.

Telangana CM joined the Congress criticism against the Centre, demanding at a rally on Thursday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi clarify how many of our fighter jets were damaged during Pakistani attacks.

Point of View

It's imperative to approach this discourse from a position of national unity. While political disagreements are natural, questioning the integrity of our armed forces during sensitive operations undermines national security and morale. It is essential to foster a culture of respect for our military while engaging in constructive political dialogue.
