She emphasized that since the formation of Uttarakhand, this building has played a vital role in the state's advancement.
The President pointed out that in a parliamentary democracy, the Governor serves as the constitutional head of state governance.
She highlighted that the powers and responsibilities of the Governor were defined by the Constitution's framers after extensive discussions. The people regard Raj Bhavans with deep respect, and thus, all members of the Governor's team should embody the principles of simplicity, humility, morality, and sensitivity.
President Murmu also commended the ongoing progress and prosperity of Uttarakhand, expressing her belief that Governor Lt. General Gurmit Singh (Retd) and his team will continue to inspire the residents of Uttarakhand, ensuring the state's ongoing development.
She also addressed the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly in Dehradun during the Silver Jubilee of the state's formation, urging the state to advance while conserving its natural resources.
