Hyderabad, Dec 17 (NationPress) President Droupadi Murmu landed in Hyderabad on Wednesday for a five-day winter retreat. She was warmly welcomed by Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, and ministers D. Sridhar Babu and Seethakka at Air Force Station, Hakeempet.
Upon her arrival, she was received by Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao, Director General of Police B. Shivadhar Reddy, along with other senior civil and defense officials.
After the welcome, the President proceeded by road to Rashtrapati Nilayam in Bollarum, where she will reside until December 21 as part of her winter sojourn.
Authorities have implemented stringent security measures, including traffic diversions along the route to Rashtrapati Nilayam.
On December 19, the President will inaugurate the National Conference for the Chairpersons of Public Service Commissions, organized by the Telangana Public Service Commission in Hyderabad.
The following day, she will address a conference themed ‘Timeless Wisdom of Bharat: Pathways of Peace and Progress’, hosted by Brahma Kumaris Shanti Sarovar to celebrate its 21st anniversary.
Both central and state government agencies, along with officials from Rashtrapati Nilayam, have made extensive preparations for the President's visit.
