Malerkotla (Punjab), March 31 (NationPress) Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann declared on Monday that the government will staunchly oppose the Waqf Amendment Bill proposed by the BJP-led NDA government.
While interacting with the media following his participation in Eid celebrations, the Chief Minister noted that the Muslim community is strongly resisting this Bill and that the Aam Aadmi Party stands firmly with them during this critical time.
He emphasized that the party would challenge the Bill in both Parliament and the Vidhan Sabha to protect the interests of the Muslim community.
CM Mann stated that the government is determined to ensure the welfare of every segment of society, leaving no stone unturned in this effort.
