Chandigarh, April 12 (NationPress) The New and Renewable Energy Minister of Punjab, Aman Arora, announced on Sunday a groundbreaking initiative called 'Mukhya Mantri Roshan Punjab Yojna'. This program aims to light up all villages with solar-powered LED streetlights, backed by an investment of Rs 550 crore.
Minister Arora described this venture as one of the most significant rural lighting efforts, with plans to install over 3 lakh solar LED lights throughout Punjab.
The State Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, endorsed the initiative on Saturday, aiming to provide dependable and cost-effective lighting solutions in rural areas.
