New Delhi, Feb 18 (NationPress) After reviewing approximately 300 CCTV camera recordings, authorities apprehended three individuals, including a quack from Uttar Pradesh, in connection with the murder of a medical equipment vendor in Northern Delhi’s Sarai Rohilla earlier this month, as reported by a police spokesperson on Tuesday.

Ranbir Singh, a 68-year-old resident of East Moti Bagh, was fatally stabbed on February 1 and robbed of an ultrasound machine, a laptop, and other items, according to police.

The quack and his accomplices targeted the victim to steal his ultrasound machine for use in their clinic, police indicated.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Raja Banthia named the suspects as Md. Parvez Alam, 27, from Muzzafarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, who operates a private clinic; Md. Nasir, 30, from Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, who works as a ward boy; and Nikhil Kumar, 19, from Bhagpat, Uttar Pradesh.

Law enforcement recovered an ultrasound machine with its probe, a laptop, the victim's bag, a passbook, a chequebook, and various other items.

Additionally, the vehicle used in the crime was also seized, which was confirmed to belong to Parvez Alam.

According to police, after reviewing the CCTV footage, the three suspects were spotted near the crime scene shortly before the murder.

The registration number of the suspect's vehicle was traced, and an analysis of its ownership was conducted. The call details and mobile phone locations of the suspects were also examined. “A raid was subsequently executed in Bhagra, Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, leading to the suspects' arrest and the recovery of the stolen items,” the police official stated.

Authorities revealed that Parvez Alam had previously sought details about the victim's office online to acquire an ultrasound machine with accessories.

“Approximately eight months ago, he and his accomplices attempted to purchase the machine, but the transaction fell through. Following this, he devised a plot with his associates to rob the victim of his ultrasound machine and laptop,” the official explained.

On the day of the incident, Parvez Alam and his accomplices visited the victim's office. During negotiations, they overpowered the victim, throttled him, and injected him with a substance to incapacitate him before fleeing with the stolen goods, according to police.
