Raashii Khanna on Playing Gurbani
Speaking about her role, Raashii Khanna said, "Playing Gurbani in 'Lukkhe' was a really intense and fulfilling experience. What I found most interesting was how her strength comes from something deeply personal, which shapes every decision she makes. It was about finding that balance between vulnerability and grit."
Khanna also described the role as a homecoming of sorts, adding, "As far as Gurbani is concerned, it is a homecoming for me. I have worked in many languages, but Punjabi is who I am. And Punjabi is who I play." She noted that Gurbani is a Jati character who conceals much beneath the surface — and that the series will show "what unprocessed grief can do to a person."
This marks Khanna's second collaboration with Prime Video, following her acclaimed appearance in Farzi. She noted that returning to the platform with a story so different in tone made the experience even more exciting.
Singer King Makes His Acting Debut
Singer-songwriter King, who plays MC Badnaam in the series, is making his acting debut with 'Lukkhe'. Reflecting on the experience, he said, "Stepping into Lukkhe as MC Badnaam has been a defining moment for me, as it marks my debut as an actor and my first experience in long-format storytelling. What drew me in was how real his hunger and need to be heard felt."
King added that weaving music into the character's journey made the role especially personal, and expressed excitement about audiences seeing "this different side" of him.
Palak Tiwari on Sanober's Journey
Actress Palak Tiwari, who plays Sanober, described her character's arc as deeply relatable. "Sanober's journey felt very real to me. She's trying to find her place again, while dealing with both strength and vulnerability," she said, adding that it was also her first time working with Prime Video.
Tiwari noted that music plays a central role in Sanober's emotional journey throughout the series, calling the overall experience "creatively satisfying."
