New Delhi, Jan 21 (NationPress) Rahul Gandhi, the Congress Member of Parliament and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, is set to engage in the ongoing Sangathan Srijan (organisational creation) training camp in Kurukshetra on Wednesday. This initiative focuses on enhancing the party's presence at the grassroots level.
The camp, hosted at the Punjabi Dharamshala near Brahma Sarovar, has been in progress for nine days and encompasses district-level leaders from Haryana and Uttarakhand.
During his time there, Rahul Gandhi is expected to address the district presidents participating in the training. The initiative includes 59 district presidents from the aforementioned states who are currently engaged in sessions centered on organisational enhancement, election readiness, and coordination at both booth and block levels. Senior Congress officials have described this camp as a vital preparation ahead of forthcoming electoral challenges.
Sirsa MP Kumari Selja has identified the training camp as a significant step toward rejuvenating and strengthening the party's organisational framework. She added that LoP Gandhi will seek insights from district leaders and provide valuable direction.
“Rahul Gandhi will converse with the district presidents, gather feedback, and offer guidance considering the impending elections,” Selja stated.
A senior party official, requesting to remain unnamed, mentioned that Rahul Gandhi is projected to spend around three hours at the camp. In addition to addressing the participants, he will also meet the families of the district presidents, pose for photographs, and have lunch at the location before heading back to Ambala AFS later in the day.
In response to this visit, APCC Vice President V. Gurunadham remarked, “In Kurukshetra, Haryana, the Congress Party is hosting a training camp. Our party leader, Rahul Gandhi, is also set to address this training camp in Kurukshetra. It's encouraging to see the Congress Party organizing such training sessions.”
Party leaders are optimistic that Rahul Gandhi’s presence will uplift the spirits of the district leaders and emphasize the Congress leadership’s commitment to building the organization from the grassroots level.
