Bhopal, Nov 11 (NationPress) A 10-day extensive training program for the newly appointed 71 district presidents of the Madhya Pradesh Congress, held in the scenic hill station of Pachmarhi, came to a close on Tuesday. The camp featured significant contributions from Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi.
During the closing session, Harish Choudhary, the In-charge of Madhya Pradesh Congress, urged the district presidents to implement the strategies they acquired during the training to fortify the party's presence on the ground.
He emphasized, "District presidents are the backbone of the Congress Party, and their involvement is vital for enhancing the organization at the grassroots level. We anticipate that every district president will apply the plans learned in training."
On the final day, Choudhary presented certificates to the district presidents of the Madhya Pradesh Congress.
Additionally, Congress leader Mahendra Joshi officially declared the training camp's conclusion, after which the district presidents returned to their respective regions.
"This training initiative in Pachmarhi aimed to bolster the Congress in Madhya Pradesh. In the forthcoming days, similar camps will be organized for block and booth-level workers," Joshi stated.
The training camp commenced on November 2, featuring numerous senior leaders from the party who addressed attendees both in person and virtually.
Congress MP Rahul Gandhi visited Pachmarhi on November 8 and 9, engaging with district presidents and other senior party officials from Madhya Pradesh.
During a session on November 8, Rahul Gandhi highlighted the urgency of strengthening the organization, fostering ideological clarity, and establishing a direct connection with the populace, all essential for preparing the party for the upcoming 2028 Assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh.
In an interactive session with party members, Rahul Gandhi also introduced them to martial arts, stating, "Every Congress worker must maintain physical fitness to effectively challenge the ruling BJP in the face of the 2028 Assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh."
It is noteworthy that these 71 district presidents, representing both rural and urban areas, were appointed by the Congress in August as part of the 'Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan' launched by Rahul Gandhi on June 3.
The Congress is undertaking this initiative to re-establish its organizational strength, as the party has been out of power in Madhya Pradesh since 2003, with the exception of an 18-month period under Kamal Nath in 2018.
The next Assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, where the Congress and BJP are the two primary political rivals, are scheduled to take place by the end of 2028.
