Rahul Gandhi to Launch Congress Election Campaign with East Delhi Rally on Monday

New Delhi, Jan 11 (NationPress) The Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, is set to kick off the Congress election campaign for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections by speaking at a ‘Jai Bheem-Jai Samvidhan’ rally in the Seelampur Assembly area of East Delhi on January 13 (Monday), as stated by a party official on Saturday.
In an early indication from the Delhi Congress regarding its plans to deploy its star campaigners for the February 5 Assembly election, AICC In-charge of Delhi Congress Qazi Mohd Nizamuddin expressed confidence that the Congress is on solid ground in the city, thanks to Rahul Gandhi’s ongoing engagement with various community groups.
Qazi Nizamuddin mentioned that Congress workers from all over the Capital, along with the general public, are expected to participate in the rally.
He highlighted that the party’s election outlook has improved following the success of Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee President Devender Yadav’s month-long Delhi Nyay Yatra, which garnered support from thousands of Delhi residents who have pledged allegiance to the party.
According to him, voters in Delhi are motivated to support Congress in the Assembly elections to rescue the city from the devastation inflicted by 11 years of misgovernance under the Arvind Kejriwal Government, which has received backing from the BJP.
Present at the press conference were AICC co-incharges of Delhi Congress Sukhwinder Singh Danny and Danish Abrar, former Delhi Minister Narendra Nath, ex-MLA Hari Shankar Gupta, spokesperson Abhay Dubey, Rashmi Singh Miglani, and Aasma Tasleem.
Qazi Nizamuddin noted that during the Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari to Srinagar, which saw significant public engagement, Rahul Gandhi interacted with diverse groups, gaining a profound understanding of the challenges faced by ordinary citizens in their daily lives.
Since then, Rahul Gandhi has actively participated in the daily struggles of everyday people, joining in their tasks, whether they were truck drivers, pottery makers, bakers, tailors, cobblers, barbers, mechanics, or farmers.
Qazi Nizamuddin affirmed that Rahul Gandhi has been advocating for the common populace, voicing their concerns, upholding the Constitution and Democracy, and his rally in Seelampur will set the stage for an assertive campaign by Delhi Congress.
He stated that the Congress intends to oust the corrupt and inefficient AAP from power, restore order in the city, and redirect the Capital toward a path of development.
