Rahul Gandhi to Launch Congress Election Campaign with East Delhi Rally on January 13

New Delhi, Jan 11 (NationPress) The Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, is set to officially announce the Congress election campaign for the upcoming Delhi Assembly polls by speaking at a ‘Jai Bheem-Jai Samvidhan’ rally in the Seelampur Assembly area of East Delhi on January 13, as reported by a party leader on Saturday.

This move represents one of the first indications from the Delhi Congress regarding its strategy to deploy star campaigners ahead of the February 5 Assembly elections. Qazi Mohd Nizamuddin, the AICC In-charge of Delhi Congress, stated that the party is in a strong position in the city, thanks to Rahul Gandhi’s ongoing engagement with various community segments.

Nizamuddin mentioned that Congress supporters from all over the Capital, along with the general public, are anticipated to join the rally.

He highlighted that the party's electoral prospects have improved significantly following the successful month-long Delhi Nyay Yatra, led by Devender Yadav, which saw participation from lakhs of Delhi residents pledging their allegiance to the Congress.

According to him, the voters in Delhi are eager to support Congress in the Assembly elections to rescue the city from the devastation inflicted by over 11 years of misgovernance under the Arvind Kejriwal Government, which has been backed by the BJP.

Other notable attendees at the press conference included AICC co-incharges of Delhi Congress Sukhwinder Singh Danny and Danish Abrar, former Delhi Minister Narendra Nath, ex-MLA Hari Shankar Gupta, spokespersons Abhay Dubey, Rashmi Singh Miglani, and Aasma Tasleem.

Nizamuddin remarked that during the Bharat Jodo Yatra, which traversed from Kanyakumari to Srinagar and witnessed tremendous public involvement, Rahul Gandhi connected with people from all walks of life, gaining profound insights into their daily struggles and challenges.

Since then, Rahul Gandhi has actively participated in the daily challenges faced by common individuals, engaging with truck drivers, pottery artisans, bakers, tailors, cobblers, barbers, mechanics, vegetable vendors, farmers, and more.

Nizamuddin emphasized that Rahul Gandhi has been a vocal advocate for the common populace, addressing their concerns, upholding the Constitution and Democracy, and his rally in Seelampur is expected to set the stage for an assertive campaign by the Delhi Congress.

He concluded by stating that Congress aims to displace the corrupt and ineffective AAP, restore stability to the city, and redirect the Capital towards developmental progress.
