New Delhi, Aug 19 (NationPress) In a fresh blow to Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, who is currently on a Voter Adhikar Yatra in Bihar, a local woman named Ranju Devi from Chapla village in Nauhatta, Rohtas, initially reported that her name was missing from the voter list. However, she later stated that her name is indeed included in the list.
In a dramatic reversal, Ranju Devi asserted that her name was present in the draft voter list released on August 1.
The BJP's President, JP Nadda, seized the opportunity to criticize LoP Rahul Gandhi for allegedly disseminating false information. He shared a video on his social media account X, where Devi is depicted expressing her concerns about her name being absent from the draft voter list, along with those of several family members.
In the video, the woman stated, "Our ward secretary informed me that my name, along with five or six family members, had been removed from this new list. I was advised to bring this to Rahul Gandhi's attention. However, upon reviewing the August 1 list, I found my name alongside that of my family members. What can we do? We are illiterate and follow the instructions given to us."
Mocking Rahul Gandhi, Nadda commented, “I’m still standing right there… where I was caught in a lie, where the truth was revealed, and I made a fool of myself… I’m still standing right there.”
It is noteworthy that Rahul Gandhi commenced his Voter Adhikar Yatra on Sunday in Bihar, starting from Sasaram. He is accompanied by leaders from the opposition Mahagathbandhan, including Tejashwi Yadav of the RJD.
This ongoing yatra, which is set to conclude on September 1, sees opposition leaders criticizing the SIR drive in Bihar and accusing the Election Commission of colluding with the BJP.
