During a meeting at his residence on Wednesday with a delegation from Jaipur Rural (South) regarding budget allocations, Shri Sharma mentioned that 55 percent of the commitments in the Sankalp Patra have been accomplished within a year.
The Chief Minister remarked, “The government is making ongoing decisions in favor of farmers, women, the underprivileged, and youth, asserting that rural development is the cornerstone of Rajasthan’s advancement and prosperity.”
He pointed out that the state budget has made substantial allocations for rural infrastructure, agriculture, drinking water, education, and healthcare. The Chief Minister stressed that the double-engine government in Rajasthan is working with the trust of eight crore citizens to realize the vision of a prosperous and exemplary state.
Sharma characterized this year's budget as centered on farmers’ welfare. New measures include raising the Kisan Samman Nidhi to Rs 9,000, providing interest-free loans to cowherds through the Gopal Credit Card Scheme, and offering 50,000 new agricultural and five lakh domestic electricity connections.
He guaranteed that 1.25 lakh government jobs and 1.5 lakh private sector positions would be created for the youth. Sharma highlighted the government's dedication to ensuring the availability of water and electricity throughout the state.
He mentioned significant projects like the Ram Jalsetu Link Project for eastern Rajasthan, the Yamuna Water Agreement for Shekhawati, and the Dewas Project for southern Rajasthan, alongside reinforcing the Indira Gandhi Canal and Mahi Project.
The Chief Minister emphasized a structured approach to improve the power sector and achieve energy self-reliance while ensuring daytime electricity for farmers by 2027.
Sharma praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his leadership, claiming that India is reaching new developmental milestones under his guidance. He criticized corruption linked to the Jal Jeevan Mission during the previous government and commended the Prime Minister for extending the project until 2028 to guarantee tap water for every household.
