Jaipur, Jan 12 (NationPress) National Youth Day is observed annually on January 12 to honor the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanand, a prominent thinker and leader whose legacy continues to inspire generations. Swami Vivekananda asserted that the future of a nation relies on the strength, self-assurance, and character of its youth. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this vision has gained momentum, resulting in remarkable achievements by the country’s young innovators.
On social media, Modi Story highlighted the inspiring journey of Hitendra Singh, a space enthusiast hailing from Bhitwara village in Pali district, Rajasthan. Since his childhood, Hitendra aspired to become an astronaut, a dream that was reignited after a meeting with Prime Minister Modi.
In a video shared by Modi Story, Hitendra reflects on his humble beginnings and his ambition to become a space scientist. “Gazing at the stars always filled me with a desire to venture into space,” he expressed.
Now, he has established Spantrik, a space technology startup focused on developing reusable rocket systems.
Among the ten innovators selected from over 3,000 entries to participate in the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue at Bharat Mandapam, Hitendra represented the space sector. He was granted the opportunity to present his company’s patented technology to the Prime Minister.
Singh noted that the Prime Minister engaged deeply with the innovative ideas shared by the young minds and discussed the long-term vision for India’s space industry, emphasizing the importance of the private sector's involvement.
“Our dialogue with the Prime Minister was incredibly motivating. After our meeting, we were inspired to think beyond the next five years and plan for the next 50,” he said.
He also expressed gratitude towards the government for initiating the Startup India Seed Fund, under which Spantrik received a grant of Rs 20 lakh to advance its rocket engine development.
Recalling PM Modi’s remarks during the launch of IN-SPACe, he highlighted the message that “there should be no space between a common man and space science.”
Importantly, the government has introduced various initiatives aimed at fostering entrepreneurship and innovation in emerging fields like space, reinforcing the notion that the younger generation plays a critical role in shaping a developed India.
